      Foreman Training Class presented by the SW Washington LMCC

      One of the most challenging transitions in the construction industry can be the move from tradesman to foreman. Going from doing things to getting things done requires a completely different skill set.

      Bylaws approved by the IO

      The International has approved the Bylaws changes that were passed by the membership in October. Effective January 2, 2019 working dues will increase to 2 ½% of gross wages for Residential, Sound & Communication and Inside Wireman as well as Apprentices and Trainees who are at Step 3 and above.

      Respectful Workplace Training

      The Southwest Washington LMCC will be providing Respectful Workplace Training for all IBEW 76 Local Signatory Contractors and their Bargaining Unit Members. Register now to take advantage of this opportunity! Training on this subject is required for our Signatory Contractors as they are training agents with the JATC.

      NW Innovation Works Public Comment Hearing

      Thursday December 13 in Longview WA there will be a public comment hearing on the purposed Methanol plant which is slated to be built in Kalama WA. We need a show of force from the building trades to show our support for this project. There will be a buffet dinner beginning at 3:30 – 6 PM with the public hearing following 6 – 9 PM, The location of the hearing will be at 1900 7th AVE.

      Bylaws Change (Dues Increase) Passes

      The proposed Bylaws change (Dues Increase) passed by a large margin. The changes have been sent on to the IO and must be approved prior to implementation. We are hoping to receive the approved Bylaws back from the IO for a January 1, 2019 effective date. We will notify the membership and contractors prior to implementation.

      Unfilled Electrical Jobs

      Unfilled jobs will be filled on a first come first serve basis. If the job remains unfilled after 5:00PM it will repost on our on-line referral page and go through the bid process for the following days dispatch unless it is canceled by the contractor.
